Is there a way to reset Outlook Express to use Gmail rather than my local ISP?

I have Windows XP and Oulook Express 6. When I respond by email to a site on the internet, my computer automatically puts in my local ISP address as return address. Can I reset this somehow to use Gmail as my return address when responding to online internet sites?

Is there a way to reset Outlook Express to use Gmail rather than my local ISP?
Just go to your Outlook%26gt; tools%26gt; accounts%26gt;View or Change existing account%26gt; next %26gt; click on Gmail account %26gt; set as default %26gt; Finish

if you need to configer your browser to use Outlook

Go to internet options %26gt; Programs %26gt; e-mail %26gt; put it Outlook Express

If you configure your Outlook to use Gmail as default account it will send and receive through Gmail unless you chose anther account for certain message by choosing accounts on the menu on your new msg. it will go through the account you specified

If you did not confiner your Outlook to get Gmail you can do it by visiting your Gmail account and activate your POP3

So I think it is not your computer mistake, it is because you choused your ISP account as default e-mail on your Outlook
Reply:You have to configure Outlook to use gmail servers. The configuration help is available on Gmail site or even in the inbox in settings pane.
