it takes no time at all - simply because NO free email service supports attachments of anywhere near 655 megabytes.
for example - gmail are reported to have an attachment limit of around 12mb and hotmail (i believe) is around 10mb, so in theory the largest file you can send from gmail to hotmail is 10mb.
to share files of such a large size between two or more people, you'd have to look towards hosting the file on the internet then providing the recipient with the download link.
