I have tried taking down the firewall, allowing pop-ups and checking ad-aware. The screen just will not load. It just started three days ago. I love gmail and use it several times daily. I have restarted my computer and tried oether routes.
I can not open my gmail inbox on my computer. I can access it from another computer in my home. Any ideas?
I had that same problem and it was driving me nuts because it was not happening at work!
Go to the Gmail Troubleshooter (https://mail.google.com/support/bin/stat... and follow the steps to see if it is your virus blocker or something else. In my case, I had something in the temporary internet files that was blocking it. If you have IE 7, go to Tools, Internet Options, Browsing History and clear your temporary internet files. It also recommends clearing your cookies, but I didn't have to do that.
Reply:gmail must use cookies to work. if you have internet explorer, go to the internet options and under privacy reset the slider to medium. if you have firefox, go to tools-%26gt;options, click on the privacy tab, check the box 'allow cookies for sites' and change 'keep' to 'until they expire'
Reply:I have the same problem, started 2 days ago. I have tried all suggestions and ran all my virus checks to no avail. Has anyone heard of a new virus in circulation ?
Reply:Started happening to me too, use Firefox instead of IE7 to check your mail. Firefox might not be as good, but the one thing it can do is open Gmail. Google probably made some deal with them...
Reply:If you cannot open up your gmail....try to shut off your anti-virus for like five mins., see if it works then. If it does then you know it's your anti-virus. You can call your internet provider. They can definately help you.
Reply:May be scripting (security setting) are not correct on your Internet Explorer.
Change to Default security settings for Internet Zone.
