The POP and forwarding is free for Gmail. Can you the POP and forwarding is free for Yahoo Mail? Yahoo Mail Plus has the POP and forwarding is not free.

You can POP yahoo mail for free with ypops but it will not give you autoforwarding.





The recent changes Yahoo has made has temporarily made ypops unable to download your mail. However they are working on a new version the will allow you to once again download your email with out subscribing to Plus!





As of today 4/13/08 they have a rough version available for testing. But it is not done or fully stable, I would wait.

If you want to use Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or other third party email clients to view your email you have 2 options.


Subscribe to mail plus:

or download and install YPOPS

then follow the directions for your version of outlook here,

Then Click on Configuring email clients towards the bottom.


Choose the appropriate link for your mail client.
